CAR RENTAL TERMS – GENERAL INFORMATION

This information has been prepared based on the standard practices of car rental companies operating in Türkiye, primarily AVC GLOBAL Car Rental. Its purpose is to ensure that our domestic and international guests are informed accurately and transparently about the rental process in advance.

1️⃣ Driver and Age Requirements

The renter and any additional drivers must hold a valid driving licence.

The minimum age and driving licence duration requirements may vary depending on the vehicle category.

Generally, economy class vehicles have more flexible criteria, while higher-segment vehicles are subject to stricter requirements.

2️⃣ Credit Card, Credit Score and Financial Assessment

Car rental companies reserve the right to verify credit card validity and conduct a financial risk assessment prior to vehicle delivery.

For citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, the following may be evaluated:

  • Findeks / credit score

  • Previous rental history and risk profile

In cases of insufficient credit score, negative risk profile, or security concerns:

  • The rental may be carried out with additional security, or

  • The rental may be cancelled

⚠️ Credit score assessments are conducted to ensure the personal safety of the renter and the protection of the vehicle fleet.

3️⃣ Procedures for International Guests

Foreign guests are required to present:

  • Passport

  • Valid international or national driving licence

  • Valid credit card

For guests whose credit records cannot be accessed through Turkish systems:

  • Higher deposit requirements

  • Limited vehicle category options, or

  • Mandatory full insurance packages
    may apply.

4️⃣ Unsafe Driving and Inappropriate Conduct

The following situations may result in refusal to initiate the rental or unilateral termination:

  • Suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour

  • Use of the vehicle outside contractual terms (racing, drifting, off-road, etc.)

  • Providing false or incomplete information

  • Allowing unauthorized third parties to drive the vehicle

In such cases, the company reserves the right to:

  • Refuse vehicle delivery

  • Immediately terminate the ongoing rental

  • Notify law enforcement authorities if deemed necessary

5️⃣ Rental Cancellation and Company Authority

Car rental companies reserve the right to refuse or cancel a rental, even if previously confirmed, due to:

  • Security reasons

  • Insurance validity

  • Financial risk

  • Legal and regulatory compliance

📌 This is not arbitrary but required by international car rental standards and insurance regulations.

6️⃣ Transparency and Guest Safety

All these practices aim to:

  • Ensure guest safety

  • Maintain insurance coverage of vehicles

  • Provide fair and sustainable service

Guests are expected to provide accurate information, comply with contractual terms, and return the vehicle in the condition it was delivered.
